Ask, Map, Move: a method for mission work.
Org of One brings the Of One method to nonprofit decisions: name the real question, chart the work and the risks, then pilot the smallest useful tool with your staff. You can read the whole method at of1.ai.
Ask: name the real question
Before any tool is chosen, we write down eight answers: the decision owner, the outcome the mission needs, the current facts, the fixed limits, the levers you control, the path of change, the evidence that would show success, and the deadline for deciding.
Map: chart the work and the duty of care
The map shows where staff hours go, which tasks repeat, and where the duty of care sits: donor records, client stories, funder terms. Effort goes first where hours come back and risk stays low.
Move: pilot it with your staff
Next, a small tool aimed at the assumption most likely to be wrong. A few staff try it, we compare it with the old way, and it grows only if the comparison holds up.
In your organization
A Consult booking walks one question through the method. Build runs on it week after week. Either way, your staff pick it up and keep using it without us.
